Portia talks Ellen and American Idol
HollywoodOutbreak have posted a new article, and video, of Portia backstage at Better Off Ted discussing Ellen's new role as American Idol judge. See below or click here to view the video via PortiaVideos.
Portia de Rossi is gearing up for another season of her TV series Better Off Ted, but she’s also ready to watch her wife, Ellen DeGeneres, judge the new season of American Idol.
DeGeneres was chosen by the producers to replace Paula Abdul, who tendered her resignation via Twitter after contract negotiations stalled.
de Rossi admits neither DeGeneres or she has been to a live broadcast of the reality competition, but they’re both eager to check it out.
The actress credits So You Think You Can Dance producers (the same ones who produce American Idol), for giving DeGeneres the gig after the talk show host guest judged the dancing competition during season five.
